Barboursville Vineyards - 2012 Sauvignon Blanc Classic example of what a great Sauvignon Blanc can be. Nice acidity, fragrant nose, clean and crisp finish. Notes of citrus, kiwi, stones (minerality), and mango. King Family Vineyards - 2012 Cros Rose wine made of 100% Merlot grapes. Shows what a bright and promising year 2012 became. Notes of tangy cranberry and grapefruit. Very excited to have another wine from a partner! Name is a play on Crozet. Blenheim Vineyards - 2011 Painted Red Our first feature from Blenheim. Read up on them in the wine binder. 53% Cabernet Franc, 26% Syrah, 21% Malbec. They do grow grapes on site, though these were all sourced in Virginia. Spicy on the nose and palate with notes of fig and pomegranate. Vibrant and quick finish. DelFosse Vineyards - 2011 Grand Cru Olivier Named after Claude DelFosse's son Olivier. Bordeaux-style blend with a lighter body and finish. 38% Merlot, 25% Petit Verdot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc. Notes of earth, cherries, and light tannin.
